The following history was written by Robson... and as far as the lad's an idiot - it looks as it looks - enjoy! The band Dust Blow was born in 2001. Its ancestor (or angiospermous) was a band called Teddy the Salad (herring with a bit of Chinese ciabatta)
but before it all happened let's go back to the year 1993 or 1994 (or 994). Then we, boys during the breaking of voice, having (which has probably done Zales good) night pollutions (Boro's just started) and the mutiny period, said a very emphatic NO to
all the crap ( till then we'd used to say categorical NO to the "sausage cryptodevourers") and then, still being disco-mules listening to Ace of Base, Dr Alban and sometimes even Queen or the Beatles, we experienced a significant breakthrough which marked
our whole lives with a stamp! This breakthrough was generally speaking grunge (in Polish: grand¿)! Our fascination with Nirvana, Soundgarden, Fasolki and Rage Against the Machine appeared (of course like in the case of anybody at that time) in the total
change of our image (and garbage)! Let's pass on to the year 2000 - Beny, Robson and Bluesman together with Taxi (a mate, then a 35-year-old taxi driver) stroke upon an idea of creating a band called Disco Polo but after several soundchecks and having
done a disco polo cover of the song from "Easy Rider" the idea flashed in the pan (for those who didn't know - the pan is a little sumthing). But they conceived the conception of creating a punk band! Everybody liked the idea, we found Wojtek who played
drums (who is a dumb noodle because he hasn't returned my Nirvana video yet). Beny took it into his head to ask Za³ês, who was earlier co-operating with bands like Orient Express or the Defenders, to join the group. Zales (fancy that!) agreed and the
first soundcheck took place in September, 1897, in Robson's basement (full of poteytoez, beatroutes and karrots). During a few months we created about 10 punkrock songs which weren't the best of their kind (although it didn't put us in complexes). Then
everything in the band started to spoil, there were fights between Za³ês and Taxi, us and Taxi, generally anybody cared (so they all stood up and went out). In March of 2001 (secret) meetings at Zales's started. The participants were of course Zales, Beny
and Robson. Songs such as "I've Got You", "Not a Thing", "Small" and "Fly Away" were then created. We liked them so much that Zales decided to ask his friend Karlos from SexGruppenFuhrer to play drums in the band (he agreed only because we promised him
fast career, 3 million dollars and a farm in the Caribbean). So in April of 2001 we played the first soundchecks which really shocked us (Robson's neighbours and grandma, too). After a month we completed about 10 songs (this time not punckrok) and wanted
to play a concert! Beny conceived a really crazy (a fine kettle of fish!) idea of asking Blade Loki to play as their support. Having heard our soundcheck recorded on a cassette in really bad quality, they agreed (and they surely regret it till today :)).
But we had one problem - the name of our band - what should it be? We had a few concepts but nobody liked them so (so we wrote to Bravo) several days before the show our friend Polly gave us a few potential names, we chose Dust Blow (after thinking it
over the name occured to us as grammatically incorrect (???), what doesn't bother us - just the opposite - we don't object to it). On 15th June at 19:30 Dust Blow played on stage in Madness club stressed from head to toe. We played about 40 minutes' gig
begun with our version of Hendix's "Purple Haze", the concert was full of false tunes but we have pleasant memories of it (personally I don't have any because I don't remember much of it - but Robson doesn't drink so he has good memory). Then everything
went on smoothly, we played many (threa) concerts in Exodus, Madness, Samo Zycie (and Wembley Stadium in London). As we already had 14 complete songs we started thinking about recording an album (beware you unfaithful!). In the spring of 2002 we
unfortunately said goodbye to Beny (the divorce suit ended amicably - Beny could keep his bass guitar). We found a cheap studio to record our stuff. its name was the Mother Sheep Marvellous Records Studio (looking back at that time, it wasn't so
marvellous). There we recorded (during two months) the stuff containing twelve songs, ten being our own and two covers. We played a concert promoting our album "In Rivers". It was one of our best shows - heat, dirt, sweat, a lot of people, great audience.
We then went on holidays (I was at my aunt's helping to feed cows and roe-deers) and when we got back home, we started the soudcheckes again. A few new songs were born (just as wonderful as the previous ones). Several bass players slipped through the band
at that time, Stupid Jack, Karas and Pawko among others (I have no idea why he wrote "among others" as there weren't more of Them). Karloz, disaffected by being continuously forced to surcharge, resigned (then - despaired with his decision - he grew his
beard long, left to New Hampshire and married another man). We started a few months long search for the drummer. Finally we found Miecka (in fact, Modliszka found him for us - she's our friend and the founder of our fanclub), whom we met for the first
time on Rynek (the market place) (of the city Wroclaw - because we probably haven't written yet that we come from this overwhelming place upon Oder). He welcomed us saying "Hi, so you are those from Deep Blue???". At the end of 2003 the group was
reinforced by a new bass player - our old mate Boro (who some time ago was taught to play by Bryan Adams himself). The entire team played a few concerts in Poland. Now we are going to record our next album, far better than the debut. (<--- here Robson
gently suggested that the debut was good) p.s. the Rolling Stones have probably better history :) p.s.2 the fat comments in brackets were written by Zales who loves you, too p.s.3 anyone drinks wine? I do - replied Han Solo
