Bio a historie
La Belle Damned began as a British metal duo, Samael Jones and Alicia Lewis, putting their own Gothic spin on the symphonic metal sounds that inspired them. With Alicia's classical vocals and poetic lyrics and Samael's compositional skills, the pair were able to complete their debut EP, Waterways, in 2013. The EP was met with positive reviews in the UK, and heralded as "a capable debut that will more than please fans of female-fronted metal" by Heavy Magazine.
Shortly after Waterways was completed, Samael and Alicia traveled to Prague, hoping to connect with the European metal scene. There they met Austrian bassist Hao Lo and US drummer Dmave Rankin, and began adapting material from Waterways into gig-ready high-octane pieces, as well as writing new material. The band's sound maintained it's eerie Gothic core, while venturing into heavier, more bombastic metal.
Finally at the beginning of 2015, keyboardist Andres Bermudez was discovered, and brought the final element to the band's live sound - something they can't wait to bring to venues all around Europe.
